The Southern District of the FSA is pleased to present this special award to Ray and Joan Buck for their outstanding service to the Lee County Club and to the Southern District.
During the Covid Pandemic, with the hard work and commitment of Ray and Joan, we were able to keep shuffleboard alive in our district. Joan did the difficult job of being registrar for all district tournaments, a time-consuming job that she did without complaint. In addition, each week, they spent significant time finding partners for anyone that did not have one.Ray and Joan have devoted their time for many years promoting shuffleboard.
The Southern District is grateful for all your efforts. Congratulations, Ray and Joan!
Congratulations Helen Biaggi on your induction into the Southern District Hall of Fame as a Player. Helen has qualified for 12 District Masters Tournaments, has played in 9 and won it 4 times. In 2010 and 2014 she won the Florida State Doubles with partners Ellen Davis and Nicole Huot. She earned her National Pin winning the Non-Walking Singles in Bradenton in 2013 and has won 4 National Pins with partners and good friends Dianna Allen and Joan Buck. Helen was inducted into the Florida Shuffleboard Hall of Fame in 2016. She has qualified for 9 State Masters and played in 8. Helen is grateful to her partners who have encouraged and helped her attain this goal and she thanks the Southern District for this prestigious award. Congratulations Helen Video HERE
Congratulations Helen Biaggi on your induction into the Southern District Hall of Fame as a Special Award. FSA Southern District is pleased to present this award to Helen Biaggi for outstanding service to the Lee County Club and the Southern District. A member of the Lee County Shuffleboard Club for fifteen years. Helen has performed many tasks to benefit the club. She has served as Southern District Treasurer for 10 years and also as head tournament Director for two years. Helen took on the challenge of webmaster and has created a new, modern website for all shufflers to enjoy. Helen has proven to be an asset to the Southern District for many years. Congratulations Chuck Wilson on your induction into the Southern District Hall of Fame.
The Southern District of the FSA is pleased to present this Special Award to Chuck Wilson, for his outstanding service to the Lee County Club and the Southern District. Chuck has served on the Lee County Board for the last eleven years. During this time he has performed or overseen all maintenance on the Lee County Courts. He has attended to the buildings, courts and grounds, keeping the Club among the favorites of Florida Shuffleboard players. As Club President this year during this COVID 19 pandemic, he has adhered to every protocol required by the FSA. He has spent many hours going above and beyond their expectations and set the standards for other districts to emulate. Due to his actions, all shufflers have felt safe playing on the Lee County Courts. The Southern District is grateful for all you have done. Congratulations, Chuck.

Congratulations Deb Norton on your induction into the Southern District Shuffleboard Hall of Fame
It is with great pleasure that the Southern District Shuffleboard Association inducts Deb Norton into the Hall of Fame as a player with 35 placements in the Main Event.
Deb Norton started her career in 2006 at Landmark, Naples. She played her first tournament in 2010 and placed fourth in the main. In her next tournament she placed third in the main.
In 2012 she played in her first Masters and won ! Since then she has played in eight Masters and won four of them.
In 2015 she won the State Amateur Singles, and made Pro that same year. Since then she has qualified for three State Masters tournaments. She is now giving back to the shuffleboard community by serving on the Southern District Board of Directors.

Congratulations Dick Widdis on your induction into the Southern District Shuffleboard Hall of Fame
It is with great pleasure that the Southern District of the Florida Shuffleboard Association inducts Dick Widdis into the Hall of Fame as a Player with 35 wins in the main event. Dick started to play shuffleboard at Cypress Woods RV Resort and quickly moved into tournament play in the District. His first win was 4th in the main with Ray Buck in 2008. Other key players in his road to the Hall of Fame were Ray Razor, Roy Babcock, Jim Goodrich, Mike Healey, Jerry Holbrook and Bob Smith; he credits them all with raising his skills and inspiring him towards this goal. By 2011 he earned his Pro status. Dick had the privilege of playing in five District Masters Tournaments: 2009, 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2020.
Dick has not only distinguished himself as a player but also as one who loves the shuffleboard community and works for the betterment of our facility. He served as President of the Lee County Club from 2013 to 2015 and spent many hours overseeing the move into the new clubhouse. In 2015 the Southern District greatly appreciated his help in hosting an outstanding FSA Masters Tournament and luncheon. Dick’s wife Molly was a great asset in preparing and serving the luncheon. He continues to serve Lee County as both past President and Director.
Dick has deeply enjoyed the camaraderie of the shuffleboard family with their many laughs together and gracious encouragement. He is very grateful to all his partners and friends.

Congratulations Ray Buck on achieving the incredible milestone into the 100 Point Club
Ray thanks his many partners through the 19 years who have helped him earn this honor. He can’t praise the Southern District enough for our many great players and he’s very enthusiastic about those coming up. His goal has always been to bring in, teach and encourage new players.
Ray has always admired Ray Razor and Dick Miles for their excellent play and sportsmanship and considers it a great honor to be in their company. He thanks the Southern District for this recognition and adding “100 Point Club” to his red jacket.
The Southern District Shuffleboard Association Congratulates Bill Oostdyk and Maureen Bryan on their induction into the Ontario Shuffleboard Hall of Fame. Bill and Maureen accumulated the necessary 35 this points to qualify for prestigious honor. Bill and Maureen have played together for several years and make a great team.
