The Southern District Hall of Fame Walk was built in 2010.
As a board member of the Lee County Shuffleboard Club, my vision was to honor our Hall of Fame inductees in a special way that all members and their families could see for many years to come.
After receiving the Approval of our board, I approached the Southern District President Elton Brown with my plan. The board accepted my proposal and agreed to pay for the project.
I drew up the plans and contacted Franco Payers to construct the Walk.
This Hall of Fame Walk has room to honor Southern District HOF members for the next 40 years. When full, it can be continued onto the North end of our complex.
I am proud to be a part of this project and hope that it will inspire our players to have their names placed there, as either a Player, a President or for a Special Award.
